LANTERNFLY TRAPS

Our lanternfly traps are environmentally friendly traps that use funnels to catch lanternflies. Young lanternfly nymphs have a strong tendency to climb up trees, so our traps use that to our advantage to capture them. Unlike sticky traps, these traps are made to specifically target lanternflies. The traps work best on trees that are highly infested with lanternfly nymphs between May and July. Each trap can catch hundreds of lanternflies.

Our traps are made from funnels, wooden, window screens, plastic bottle tops, and a reusable Ziploc bag that fills up with flies. We set them up during the spring, and the traps are durable enough to stay up for several months.
